The Couvent des Minimes is looking for aFront Desk Clerk (M/F) on a fixed-term contract to replace an employee participating in a career transition program, starting in mid-September.

As a true ambassador for our establishment, you will be the first point of contact for our guests and will help ensure they have an impeccable experience. With your commitment to service, professionalism, and warm smile, you’ll ensure that every guest’s stay runs smoothly, from arrival through departure.

As part of the Front Desk team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Warmly welcoming guests in French and English, ensuring personalized, high-quality service.
  • Handle check-in and check-out procedures in accordance with the hotel’s policies.
  • Provide information and assistance to guests throughout their stay by addressing their practical, tourist-related, or hotel-service inquiries.
  • Provide guests with information on availability, rates, and the various services offered.
  • Actively contribute to guest satisfaction and loyalty by delivering an exceptional guest experience.

As a Front Desk Clerk, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing reservations, changes, and special requests from guests.
  • Handle administrative tasks related to guest stays: issuing invoices, processing payments, managing petty cash, performing cash-out procedures, and maintaining the front desk office.
  • Promote the hotel’s services and contribute to business development by highlighting the full range of our offerings.
  • Advise guests on local activities, tourist attractions, restaurants, and events in the region.
  • Provide attentive and responsive concierge service to meet the specific needs of each guest.
  • Provide a special welcome to VIP guests by offering personalized assistance.
  • Support the Guest Relations team to ensure impeccable service quality.
  • Work closely with the hotel’s various departments (accommodations, food and beverage, housekeeping, maintenance, etc.) to ensure seamless coordination of operations.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures, quality standards, and the hotel’s safety regulations.

Your profile

  • You are fluent in English, both spoken and written; proficiency in another foreign language is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the Opera software is appreciated.

Contract: Fixed-term contract – 39 hours/week
Gross salary: 2,101.72 euros (Level I, Step 3)

Two bars round out the dining options, including one dedicated to champagne in a magnificent suspended glass-roofed space. The hotel has 7 function rooms that can accommodate up to 300 people.
