Job description

Your main responsibilities:

A true conductor of the reception function, you are in constant contact with the hotel’s various departments and ensure the smooth flow of information with the aim of ensuring customer satisfaction. You are responsible for all services related to welcoming guests to the hotel and managing rooms, which includes managing room occupancy, physically greeting guests and billing for room services.

To this end, you supervise the entire reception team; define, with the help of your assistant, the schedule, and coordinate the work in a constant concern to guarantee the satisfaction of our customers.

Attached to the Operations Manager you:

  • Supervise the day-to-day operations of the Reception & Luggage department as well as annexed services (GXP and Guest Experience Service), you may assist in assuming their functions according to operational needs
  • May be required to cover all reception time slots (morning, day, evening and night).
  • Provide exceptional customer service, with your team, you manage customer arrivals, departures, information, payment and billing formalities, so that these are carried out in accordance with company standards and instructions given.
  • Provide services with your team that go beyond expectations to satisfy and retain customers.
  • Show leadership in hospitality, set an example of excellent customer service and create a positive atmosphere for customer relations.
  • Ensure the follow-up and resolution of customer complaints, as well as final customer satisfaction in collaboration with the duty manager
  • Process and follow up e-mails.
  • Ensure good communication with other departments (housekeeper, restaurants, technical …)
  • Optimize sales and have a sales role for rooms available for sale.
  • Assist your team in the event of problems (technical, with customers…).
  • Create a positive and productive atmosphere at reception.
  • Define and communicate performance expectations for each position in line with job descriptions, and track progress.
  • Celebrate successes and publicly recognize team members’ contributions
  • Know the various audits that reception may be required to pass, and ensure that everything is done to pass them.

Your profile:

You have an excellent sense of detail and rigor. You have a positive mindset and leadership skills.

Your previous experience in 4 or 5 star hotels, preferably from the Marriott chain as well as mastery of Opera software, is a major asset.

You are fluent in English and a 3rd language is obviously a plus.
