Job description
Reporting to the Store Manager and their assistant, you will:
- Coordinate and oversee the setup of the bar area.
- Set up the bar (turn on equipment, arrange tables and chairs, etc.).
- Oversee the smooth running of service and supervise the associated team (kitchen staff and servers).
- Inform customers about any special menus or daily specials.
- You provide information on the latest cocktail trends and evolving techniques.
- Enter customer orders into the POS software.
- Prepare all kinds of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to the production tickets, from the most classic to the most innovative, in accordance with the technical specifications.
- You ensure that drinks and, if applicable, food items match the order and are served efficiently.
- Throughout the service, you ensure customer satisfaction and respond to any requests they may have. You guarantee the quality of service and products.
- When customers ask for the check, verify the entire order entered into the POS system for the table in question, print the receipt, and present it to the customers.
- Depending on the payment method, settle the bill appropriately in the POS software.
- Help clear tables, tidy up, and clean the dining room and bar.
- Monitor inventory (beverages, glassware, small supplies, etc.), assist with bringing items up from the cellar and storing them, and notify the shift manager or their assistant if anything is missing.
- Ensure compliance with laws regarding the serving of alcohol.
- Ensure a pleasant atmosphere (take the time to listen to customers, chat with them, etc.).
- Ensure that instructions are properly relayed to your colleagues at the end of your shift.
- You may be required to manage towel distribution, monitor guests, and ensure the pool area is kept clean and tidy.
