The Couvent des Minimes is a 4-star hotel where history and modernity blend seamlessly. Located just a few steps from the Grand Place, it enjoys a peaceful setting. The hotel features 75 rooms and 8 suites. Its restaurant serves traditional cuisine with regional specialties. Two bars complete the dining options, including one dedicated to champagne in a magnificent suspended glass-roofed space. The hotel also has 7 meeting rooms suitable for seminars.
Le Couvent des Minimes is seeking a Versatile Head Waiter (M/F/H).
As part of the establishment’s Food Service team, you will work in various areas of the establishment: Breakfast, the Restaurant, the Bar, and Banquets; and your responsibilities include:
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet and serve customers
- Escort customers to their table
- Present the menu and daily specials
- Advise and inform customers
- Serve and present dishes
- Handling payments
- Ensure service quality
- Linking to the kitchen regarding specific requirements
- Build customer loyalty through excellence and personalized service at every stage of their experience within the establishment
- Master the specifics of the menu to drive up-selling
- Promote other services offered by the establishment
- Manage customer complaints and report them to your supervisor
- Support the front-of-house team (servers, runners)
- Guide teams in service management
- Participate in the on-the-job training of new employees
- Ensure the setup of dining areas
- Ensure that equipment and facilities are clean
- Comply with and enforce the hotel’s established standards and procedures, as well as the HACCP guidelines
Your profile
KEY QUALITIES:
You have excellent interpersonal skills and a proven commitment to customer service. Naturally organized, you are versatile and always pay close attention to the smallest details. You enjoy working in a team and are thorough in carrying out your tasks. Professional-level English is essential.

Contract: Permanent contract, 39 hours
Salary: 2,274.12 euros gross
